The same reason that certain chemicals are used
in
deicing fluid are the same reasons that you don't want them in your
WATER supply. These chemicals attract water molecules & can
quickly pollute large volumes of water.
Similar to
oil, propylene glycol is in fact
bio-degradable, but this chemical's biggest problem is with groundwater. As it breaks down, glycol depletes oxygen from
water, encourages alga growth, and suffocates everything... all other life.
These chemicals should not be
sprayed so close to the water supply of 9 million people.
